Wonderful Day in Croke Park !

Our day in Croke Park

The excitement began shortly after 9 when Mr. O’Neill and Mr. Breathnach introduced all the players that would play in Croke Park and all their achievements to date. It was a 20 minute send-off until they were off to Croke Park. The band was playing some raucous music in the background.

After a long bus journey we arrived at Croke Park. When we saw our school coming out of the tunnel we started cheering and shouting.  The first half was a tough half for St. Marys . We were down by a few points. In the second half Marys recovered thanks to a couple of goals  and some well taken points. We heard the final whistle blow and St. Marys had won the Corn Kitterick cup. It truly was a wonderful day for St. Marys.

When they came back to St. Marys they had a big celebration thanking the coaches of all of the teams and parents. Well done to all the boys involved in the team.
