The boys from St. Mary’s had two fantastic days out in Santry. From 3rd to 6th class we had 30 boys competing in a wide range of events.
A big thank you to the boys for all their hard work. They gave up many of their lunch breaks in order to train. A special mention to the boys who didn’t get to compete, but trained every day and were ready to step in if called upon.
We had great success this year with us taking home 5 medals in total. Ryan O’Neill won gold in the 600 metres, Oisín Murray won silver in the high jump, Alex Dunne won bronze in the high jump, Simon Horgan won bronze in his sprint and Chisom Chime won bronze in his sprint.
Thank you also to Ms. Gallagher, Ms. Dunne and Ms. Quirke for giving up their lunch breaks and coaching the boys over the last number of weeks.
We are looking forward to next year all ready!
