Musical Instruments

St. Mary’s also fosters musical talent on melodic instruments. Musicians get the opportunity to perform at Tionól (Assembly) throughout their time in the school, either on an individual basis or with their class.

Tin whistle/recorder is taught in third and fourth class, with the aim of ensuring that each child attains a basic level of proficiency on the instrument.

In addition, Mr. Connolly offers extra instrumental classes in traditional music for pupils interested in furthering their musical talents. These take place after school on a weekly basis.
