Junior A
St. Mary’s 5-11
St. Brigid’s Foxrock 0-5
This game started very evenly with the scores level at 0-1 each until Chisom Chime won a kick out, burst through the defense and scored a screamer of a shot. This gave St. Mary’s great confidence and by half time it was 2-2 to 0-1. Further scores from Sean Homan, Conor Quigley, Sam Robbins, Rory Currie, Eoin Dennehy, Alan and Daire Delaney and Donal Manzor ensured St. Mary’s got their campaign off to a winning start. Daire Bermingham, Conor Fitzgerald, Cillian Noonan and the goalscoring Chisom were all excellent at the back. The boys face St. Pius next Tuesday in the Hermitage.
