Ceol le linn Seachtain na Gaeilge!

Seachtain na Gaeilge was jam-packed with musical activities. Each class received a visit from a musician who played for the boys, showed off their instrument and talked about how they became involved with music. The boys asked really intelligent questions and it was great to see such engagement.
There is a wealth of musical talent in St. Mary’s BNS and the traditional music group should be very proud of their fantastic performance at Tionól on Thursday 15th March. They played a medley of tunes including the ‘Kerry Polka’, ‘Fáinne Geal an Lae’ and ‘Óro Sé do Bheatha ‘Bhaile’. There were also some impressive solos and duets in the performance.
The St. Mary’s musicians also delivered an excellent workshop in Rang a hAon, where they took small groups of boys and showed them the instruments and how to play them. Maith sibh a bhuachaillí!
