There has always been a strong tradition of choral singing in St. Mary’s.
The Choir performs at a variety of school events throughout the year, including School Masses, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and Tionól (Assembly). In addition, the Choir have performed at events such as the Hallelujah Concert, World Youth Day Concert, National Children’s Concert, and most recently at the National Concert Hall.
The Choir consists of boys from fourth to sixth class. The boys audition in fourth class and participants are selected on the basis of musicianship and commitment to maintaining the Choir’s high standards.
Rehearsals are held every Wednesday from 13:45-14:30 in the hall, as well as during lunchtimes approaching big events.
