On Monday both 4th classes went on a history trip to Glasnevin Cemetery. We had some excellent tour guides that brought us to the graves of some of the most prominent figures in Irish history including Daniel O’Connell, Charles Stewart Parnell, Eamon De Valera, Michael Collins and Countess Markievicz. We also heard stories of body snatchers, grave robbers and the history of Glasnevin Cemetery. Thanks to Mr. Connolly for organising the trip.
